What is OAuth?

OAuth stands for Open Authorization for token based authentication and authorization over web.

OAuth was first introduced in year 2007. In year 2010 OAuth2.0 was introduced.

OAuth acts as an agent for a user to fetch the information.

OAuth allows a user's account information to be used by a 3rd party such as Twitter, Facebook, Google, without exposing account passwod.

OAuth works on token which authorizes specific user information.
